Used in most cases by young people and teenagers from around the world, the word swag consists of an alternative version of the word "legal" or "cool". The swag is usually associated with people who have an irreverent way of dressing.
The swag word has its origins in the Scottish word swagger. This slang was used to describe the way the Scots walked normally in an oscillating manner. Later, the word gained a sense of charisma and remarkable behavior.
Often used excessively, for some people the word swag gained a different meaning, as you can see in the acronym Secretly We Are Gay (meaning Secretly We Are Gays).
